I love our diversity – not just culturally, but in every aspect of the word – and I love our innovative spirit. Our team is well-rounded professionally with different skills and talents, and after 6+ years here, I’m continually surprised by what I learn from the team.
Chris Behnken rebuilds transmissions on the side and sells automotive parts on his website. He’s an E-commerce mastermind! Toni has a subscription clothing service that supports her mission of reclaiming used clothing. Join her site, and she’ll send you beautiful, reclaimed clothing custom matched to your style. She’s helping save the planet! Me, I have a blog and a podcast called Daily New Years that focuses on helping people set goals for their lives.
We also have amazing diversity, which I really love. It’s great to learn about different cultures and to taste amazing new foods.
What’s the best part of your role at Element 74?
My favorite part about what I do is all the different things that I do. I work with Chris in sales, primarily, but I also work with our various teams. I love jumping in to help one team with a logo project, then another with simplifying a user-interface for a piece of software we’re building. After that, I may help develop a digital marketing strategy for one of our clients.
I also get to work with all of our people to implement big-picture changes in our company, like unlimited paid-time-off!
No two days are alike, and that’s my favorite aspect of my job.
Favorite project you’ve been a part of so far?
I enjoy most of the projects I get to work on, but my favorite has been this new Element 74 company website. There have been several generations of our site, but this one has been the most exciting to work on and the most fruitful. There are so many layers beyond informative content and a portfolio. The portfolio now contains more well-rounded project overviews, the blog is a wealth of industry knowledge, and we have a ton of useful resources and e-books. My favorite part about the project, though, is the internal team work that went into it.
Sum up our E74 culture in one word.
Positive! Inspirational! Family!
Those are 3, single words, but I can’t choose just one.
